Function
My pair of #Choose by Éram won’t switch on.
You switch your pair of #Choose by Éram on and off (standby) but clicking your heels together twice. Remember to click them together quite hard. A blue light will confirm that you have switched them on. If a red light appears, it means that your #Choose by Éram were switched on and have now been switched off. Click your heels together again to turn them on. If the problem continues, go to the “Contact” section.
I can’t switch my pair of #Choose by Éram off.

The app does not recognise my pair of #Choose by Éram.
Check that both shoes are fully charged. Open the app, go to the “settings” tab (= spanner logo), click “forget this pair” then try again by clicking the heels of your #Choose by Éram together. If that still doesn’t work, close the app. To close the app, double-click the central button on your phone and swipe right or left to find the app. Then swipe up. The app will close. Open the app and start the syncing procedure again.
I can only connect to one shoe.
If you do not click your heels together correctly, only one shoe may light up. In this case, slap the shoe which did not light up on your hand or a hard surface twice. The shoes must always be horizontal when you click your heels together.
What is the battery reserve for #Choose by Éram?
Your shoe has electronic components powered by battery. Regular charging is therefore required. We have designed the product to work for at least 9 hours; this period of time can be longer depending on the colours used. To check the battery level in your #Choose by Éram shoes, start the #Choose by Éram app, sync your shoes and click on the icon in the upper right corner of the screen. The battery level is displayed on the shoes that are synced to the app. When the battery is very low, the battery icon is displayed in red and a warning appears on the button "setup" in the upper right corner of the menu.
I was walking and my pair of #Choose by Éram turned off. What should I do?
The electronic module in your shoes includes an accelerometer which configures the on and off function. If you click your heels together by mistake when walking, the shoes will switch off. Switch them on again using the procedure described above.
How do I force my #Choose by Éram to turn off?
You can switch off the shoe at any time by clicking your heels together energetically and quickly. The two shoes will turn red and the brightness will dim until it turns off.
Charging
How do I charge my shoes?
Lift up the inner sole in your shoe. The shoes are charged simply by putting the end of the magnetic cable in the designated zone on the top of the case hidden in the heel. If your shoe is switched on, the light band will be switched off whilst charging to optimise charging. Before switching off, the colour will go green to show that the charge has been successful. If your shoe is switched off, whilst charging it will flash green once to confirm a successful charge. Charging time can vary depending on the age of the shoe; full charge is achieved in around 4 hours. The magnets at the ends of the cables guarantee the right position throughout the charging process. The ends of the charging cables have small gold studs mounted on springs. When they are in contact with the conductor areas on the case in the shoe, they supply electricity to the charging system.

Important: never touch the charging studs together or place them on a metallic surface. This avoids any short-circuiting which could damage the charger.
How long does it take to charge my shoes?
Your #Choose by Éram pair of shoes comes with a partially charged battery. Before using your new pair of shoes for the first time, we recommend charging them for about 4 hours. Can I connect my shoes to a computer USB port?
It is possible but the time to charge will be longer. It is important that you use the charger and cables supplied with your #Choose by Éram shoes. Éram cannot be held responsible if you use another charging system.
What happens if my shoes run out of battery?
The illuminated bands have switched themselves off.
Can I use a different charger?
It is important that you use the charger and cables supplied with your #Choose by Éram shoes. Éram cannot be held responsible if you use another charging system.

Use
What happens if I walk in a puddle of water?
Do not put the shoe in water or snow. Take precautions if it is raining (do not walk through puddles). Do not get the inside of the shoe wet. Similarly, any extended contact with a damp environment could damage the electronic system inside the shoe.
How do I take care of my shoes?
Only the upper surfaces of the shoes should be cleaned. Do not machine wash. IMPORTANT: shoe cleaning products (wax, cream, waterproofing, polish sponge, etc.), solvents, chemical cleaners, insect repellents must not be applied to the optical fiber fabric bands on your shoes.

• Protecting your shoes after purchase: The upper of the shoe (the outer part covering the foot) is made of leather. Waterproof your shoes after purchase but protect the optical fiber fabric band (with a piece of cardboard for example).

• Cleaning the leather: After wiping the leather with a soft cloth to remove the dust, apply a neutral cream polish. Polish with a soft cloth. Then waterproof your shoes but protect the optical fiber fabric band (with a piece of cardboard for example). Repeat the waterproofing procedure after you have been out in the rain.

• Cleaning the fibre optical fiber band: To manually clean the Lightex® fibre optic fabric band, delicately rub the stain with a soft sponge soaked in hand-wash. Do not bleach.
Can I play sport wearing #Choose by Éram?
These shoes have been designed for urban use only. They cannot be used for running, hiking or sport.
Can I travel by plane wearing #Choose by Éram?
In compliance with airline directives, we recommend turning off your shoes along with any other electronic devices when onboard a plane.
Mobile app
I can’t recreate the colour of my jumper.
Rendering is optimised on the brightest colours. We are not able to guarantee the brightness of the shoe in all outdoor conditions. It is normal that the colour is difficult to see in full daylight. If the brightness of your shoe does not appear to be at its maximum, check the intensity and brightness settings in the "spectral color" function.
Can I connect several pairs of #Choose by Éram on the same app?
Only one pair of #Choose by Éram can be managed at one time by the app. But you can still sync several pairs to the app.
Can I have a different colour on each shoe?
The app does not allow you to choose a different colour for each shoe. The selected colour will be sent to all the shoes synced with the phone.
If my phone runs out of battery, how do I control my #Choose by Éram shoes?
Your shoes are switched on and off by clicking the heels together twice, energetically and quickly. When switched on, your shoes will adopt the last selected colour, and the connection with a phone is not essential to make the product work. However, in this case you will not be able to change the colour of your shoes. To put your shoes on standby, click the heels together twice, energetically and quickly.
I can’t sync my pair of #Choose by Éram.
When plugged in the shoes slowly flash blue for 30 seconds, so you can connect the #Choose by Éram app. After the 30 seconds, you must switch them off and on again to connect.
What operating system does the app work on?
Your pair of #Choose by Éram shoes can only be configured and synced with an iPhone 4S (or later version) operating with the 9.0 iOS (or later version). Before beginning, your phone must have an internet connection.
I can’t find the app.
